Instructions for Short Oral Presentations

The Short Oral Presentation Sessions will take place on Thursday May 8 and Friday May 9, and will cover a wide range of topics. A total of 12 sessions have been planned with about 150 presentations. The sessions offer the opportunity to actively interact with the presenters.

Short Oral Presentation presenters will give a short oral presentation with PowerPoint slides with the OPTION to present an e-poster.

Should you wish to prepare an e-poster, for viewing at the e-poster viewing screens, please prepare an e-poster for upload.

Short Oral Presentation PowerPoint presentations (with the author's permission) will be available to ESPID members on the ESPID website (www.espid.org) after the Meeting.

Short Oral Presentation presenters will be requested to prepare the following:

  1. Presenters have each been allocated 7 minutes to present in the Poster Discussion session, which includes 4 minutes for oral presentation and 3 minutes for discussion.
  2. Presentations need to be prepared as PowerPoint and limited to 5 SLIDES. It is recommended to divide the slides as follows: 1-2 slides for Methods, 1-2 slides for Main Results and 1 slide for Conclusions.
  3. Presentations should be uploaded onsite in the Speakers' Ready Room at least 1 hour before the start of the session. For instructions on preparing and uploading your data presentation onsite:

If you would like us to include your presentation on the ESPID website after the Meeting, the presenting author must sign a release form in the Speakers Ready Room, giving ESPID permission to post the presentation on the website.
